Holi Brunch @ BGs Poolside Bar & Restaurant

The poolside brunch concept seems to be picking the pace these days, Courtyard by Marriott, Bellandur does it again.
The live music with warm hospitality made the visit a great one.
The ambiance here is well suited for an evening snack by the poolside at sunset.

An accidental Chef as they call him, Executive Chef Sudhir Nair with a strong 17-year experience has curated a very nice and well thought of menu for this occasion. Featured in the Limca Book of Records for making the largest Maki Sushi, this was a spread to relish.

Mrs. Rasikta Kamble, the Asst. F&B Manager (who’s an expert in Drinks) told us the history behind the drinks served on the occasion and how they were curated.

The spread included Salads, Freshly cut Fruits, Burgers, Appetizers, Wraps, Rolls, Main Course Dishes, a Live counter for Pasta and Grills and a completely separate section for Desserts.

They had many varieties of cheese available. Gouda, Danish, Cheddar, Emmental, Feta and so on.
We tried the live counter for a Penne Pesto on a bed of Alfredo Sauce with Parmesan Cheese gratings and this was one of the few places that made it well.
The grilled fish (basa fillet) and prawns were very tasty.

MAIN COURSE

The main course had anjeer biryani, subzi biryani, and chicken biryani. There were also Chicken and Mutton gravies.

DRINKS

Colors in a tall glass – Tallest drink in the house, very colorful and vibrant.
BG’s CFL – Flavoured close to a Sangria, with a touch of Absolute Vodka.
Kiwipine – A tasty non-alcoholic drink.
Thandai – A Classic thandai, missing the dusty dry fruits.

Sangria – Very well curated with the right mix of chopped fruits.

DESSERTS:

An awesome platter of Oreo Cheesecake, Strawberry gateaux, Fruit Ganache and many more mouth-watering desserts brought the afternoon to a sweet end.
