THE STORY BEHIND
In the middle of the hustle-bustle and the big city life of Bengaluru, Go Native is a quiet little retreat with a Farm to Table restaurant and a lifestyle store.
Supplies sourced from local farms around Bangalore who practice environmentally sound farming with fair trade, and grow seasonal, non-GMO, pesticide-free veggies and grains. It helps them keep their carbon footprint low.
Built around a redesigned old house and up-cycled as much as possible from the old building during renovation, they use a solar backup power, they harvest rainwater, compost their kitchen waste and are committed to reducing plastic.
Founded by Anvitha Prashanth, a graduate of CS & Design has a deep passion for building digital consumer commerce experiences. Her passion for cooking started from the simple want to know what went into the body and to nourish it with natural, simple and honest food. Her love of traveling – to explore and understand different ideas, cultures, and cuisines, changed her approach to cooking from functional to experimental. Ultimately, she has tried to align everything she does with the aim to lead a healthy, happy and balanced life.
They also have a community library section where folks can come and read a book or two from Go Native’s Handpicked collection. You can even take home books or contribute to their ever-growing library.
