Refuel at the Popular Bikers’ Hangout on NH7

Formerly NH7, now NH44 is the longest running National Highway in India which connects the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. It starts from Srinagar and terminates in Kanyakumari.

When you leave the city and head north towards Nandi Hills for a beautiful sunrise, you’ll pass by this roomy brick edifice on your left a little after the new Bengaluru International Airport at Devanahalli. Close to another highway favourite — Indian Paratha Company — NH7 Refuel continues to be a favourite with biking enthusiasts and ideal for a quick getaway, away from busy city life.

Spread over 40ft x 200ft across 2 floors, this highway restaurant strives to serve all kinds of travellers and capture different audiences. With three different menus to cater to customers who are looking to grab a quick bite, to customers who want to spend some quality time with friends or family and have a good dining experience, to the adventure-seekers such as bikers who want to take a ride and chill in a relaxed space close to the hills.

Outcome of the common passion four friends had about owning a place that would give Bangaloreans, a perfect place to unwind and satisfy their taste buds at the same time. Extensive traveling around the world and experimenting with cuisines all over, NH7refuel happened through exhaustive brainstorming and thorough planning. With attention to the minutest detail, from kitchen to menu, cleanliness to décor, quality is a testimony to perfectionism in NH7refuel.

Open between 7:00am to 11:30pm, this place serves good food with a mesmerizing ambiance here. The wooden interiors look extremely spacious with a high ceiling and the south side constructed out of thickets of bamboo greens and bamboo mats. Ben and his team entertain you to some soulful live music over the weekend and the board games set you in the perfect mood for the weekend. It isn’t too heavy on the pocket either.

The menu here emulates a dhaba, served with more finesse. You’ll find steel tumblers brimming with thick lassi (they have flavoured Lassis) that go perfect with ghee-doused parathas {different variants with onion, aloo, gobi or chicken kheema}. They also serve fluffy bhature with spicy chole which is very delectable. They also serve kebabs, North-Indian curries, and biryani. If you are a hookah fan, this is a great place to blow some smoke. They offer quite a few fruity flavours including watermelon, orange, and blueberry. You can also order up milk or ice-based hookahs as well as mixed flavours.

Chicken Manchow Soup – Tasty Soup Chinese Style with Shredded Chicken pieces and fried noodles.

Chilli Baby Corn and Chilli Paneer – Quite flavourful and delicious.
The Non-Veg Platter – The Sponge Chicken tasted good but could be a little more flavourful. Prawns though needed a little work.

Main Course:

Sarson Da Saag with Makki Di Roti – An awesome Punjabi Combo, very delectable.
Chole and Kulcha – A good combo. Can be had for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Dal Makhani with Tandoori Roti – The famous meal at every North Indian Home.
Paneer Lababadar, Mutton Rogan Gosh and Lacchha Paratha – Mutton could have been cooked better.

Dry Fruit Milk Shake – One of the best Dry Fruit Milk Shakes I’ve had in recent times. Had awesome flavour until the last sip. Was so good, there wasn’t a drop left in the end.

Gajar Halwa with ice cream – Tasted great in the weather.
